VW Commercial Vehicles stops production of the e-Crafter
UpdaVolkswagen Commercial Vehicles has discontinued sales of the fully electric e-Crafter. According to the online configurator, the electric van can no longer be configured as a new vehicle. The manufacturer refers those interested in the vehicle to used and annual vehicles.
VWCV increases e-van sales in 2020
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles delivered around 2,700 electric vehicles in 2020. This corresponds to an increase of 167% in electric van sales compared to 2019 but does not even represent one per cent of total sales.
VW moves e-Crafter production to Poland
After almost two years of cooperation with the Hanover plant, the Volkswagen plant at Września in Poland has now taken over the complete production of the e-Crafter electric delivery van. Alongside the MAN eTGE, the e-Crafter is the second electric model to be produced in Września.
France: Chronopost orders 420 Volkswagen e-Crafter
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWN) will deliver a total of 420 e-Crafter electric vans to the French logistics company Chronopost over the next two years. After extensive testing, the subsidiary of the French Post Group has decided in favour of the e-Crafter.
Tribus unveils two small electric buses
The Dutch company Tribus is now presenting two electric buses at the VDV Electric Bus Conference in Berlin: The compact and modular city bus Movitas and the wheelchair-accessible VW e-Crafter mini-bus.
VW Utility Vehicles to electrify across the board
Volkswagen’s utility vehicle division will offer an electrified variant for each model in the future. Brand chief Eckhard Scholz told media to “expect a lot” over the next few years and also commented on Deutsche Post/ DHL’s StreetScooter van.
