Mercedes tripled PHEV & BEV car sales in 2020
Mercedes-Benz Cars more than tripled its sales of electric cars and plug-in hybrids in 2020 as they sold 160,000 plug-in hybrids and fully electric vehicles worldwide (+228.8%). This includes around 87,000 units in the fourth quarter.

Nissan Leaf MY20 receives update
The Nissan Leaf is undergoing some upgrades for the new model year. The Leaf MY20 version has been in production since mid-November and, according to the Japanese company, will be rolling into dealerships “very soon”. Prices for the Nissan BEV start from 29,233.95 euros.

Nio signs credit lines with local banks for €1.3Bn
Nio is moving on from crisis as the EV start-up secures fresh capital from banks in China. The company had signed credit lines with six domestic banks for a total of 10.4 billion yuan (around 1.3 billion euros) just days ago.

Norway: Electric car share at 54.5% in September
Exactly 6,086 electric cars were newly registered in Norway in September. With a market share of 54.5 per cent, around one in two new registrations was a passenger car with pure electric drive. The most successful model of all drive types was the Tesla Model 3.

USA: GM getting close to 200,000 EV sales
