Polestar announces US retail locations

Polestar has announced their first retail partners for the US market, which will help Volvo’s plug-in brand to set up a network of so-called Polestar Spaces in New York and Los Angeles as well as San Francisco this year.

Norway: Electric car share at 54.5% in September

Exactly 6,086 electric cars were newly registered in Norway in September. With a market share of 54.5 per cent, around one in two new registrations was a passenger car with pure electric drive. The most successful model of all drive types was the Tesla Model 3.

Netherlands reach highest EV share in EU in 2018

The VCÖ, Austria’s transport organisation similar to Britain’s AA or Germany’s ADAC, published data on electric vehicles registrations in the European Union in 2018 along with curious observations. With Norway set aside, the Netherlands registered the highest EV share, followed by Austria.

General Motors is getting closer to the 200,000 EV cap for the $7,500 federal tax incentive. Still estimates suggests that they may have until early 2019 before the incentive is cut off but consequences for the Bolt EV could be stark.

The Go Ultra Low campaign released figures on registrations of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles today and they are looking good. In fact, the overall number of PEVs has risen each and every month this year, with one being registered every 9 minutes in the UK.

After sales were off to a slow start earlier this year, June has been a strong month for electric car sales in France. Particularly the commercial vehicle segment is growing and so is the number of sales of plug-in hybrid cars, according to Avere.
