Opel expands battery centre to cover eCMP models

Opel has upgraded its battery centre at its headquarters in Rüsselsheim. In addition to the Ampera and Ampera-e, the batteries of all Opel models on the eCMP platform (currently the Corsa-e and Mokka-e) and Combo-e, Vivaro-e and Zafira-e Life are now tested and, if necessary, repaired there.

Opel announces road tests for fuel cell Zafira Life

Opel boss Michael Lohscheller has revealed that the German carmaker is planning the first road tests with fuel cell cars in 2021. According to the report in a German newspaper, Opel intends to equip an unspecified number of small Zafira family vans with hydrogen fuel cells.

Opel accepting orders for the Zafira-e Life

The new Opel Zafira-e Life is now available for order in Germany and most recently in the UK. The battery-powered passenger van will go on sale in early 2021 for prices starting at 53,800 euros, or £34,645 after the Plug-in Van Grant.

Opel Zafira-e Life can tow up to 1,000 kg

Opel has given details of the all-electric version of the Zafira Life, the van which is scheduled to go on sale in early 2021. It shares technology with other PSA transporters that have all been recently electrified.

Opel promises electric version of new Zafira in 2021

The fourth generation of Opel’s multi-purpose passenger car Zafira, will debut at Brussels Motor Show on January 18, 2019, this time as essentially a van in three sizes and with space for nine people. The German company has said that the Zafira Life all-electric version will follow in 2021.
