Enel to construct public charging stations in Italian ports
The energy provider was charged by the Italian Ports Association to install 300 public EV charging stations in the areas managed by Italy’s 15 port authorities. The deal is part of a plan to set up around 7,000 charging stations by 2020, and 14,000 by 2022.

Ionity cooperating with Cepsa to outfit gas stations
The high power charging network Ionity will cooperate with the Spanish Compañía Española de Petróleos to outfit their petrol stations with up to 100 HPC charging points in Spain and Portugal. The first chargers will go into operation by the start of 2019.

Tritium bringing fast-charging to Hungary
Hungary’s National Utilities has ordered fast-charging stations from Tritium through its subsidiary NKM Mobilitas. Twelve DC- charging stations with 50 kW will be installed along main roads across the country and mark the start of more to come.

Jaguar connecting with Plugsurfing for premium charging
Jaguar Land Rover has opted for Berlin-based Plugsurfing to offer a “premium charging service” for the I-Pace electric car and Range Rover PHEVs. The partnership includes 70,000 charging points across Europe to be accessed through JLR apps.

800 volt charging park by Porsche goes online in Berlin
The EV charging park announced last year at the Porsche center in Berlin-Adlershof was recently connected to the grid. Four customer parking spots were fitted with Porsche chargers, two of which with the new 800 volt charging technology. The park is accessible to all cars during the opening times of the center.

EVgo & BMW launching 2nd-life battery project

Incoming: 4,500 EV charging points in 43 Dutch cities
Allego and Ecotap received the concession to install and operate 4,500 electric car charging points across the Dutch provinces Gelderland and Overijssel. 43 cities participate and the rollout will increase the number of charging sockets fourfold.

ZF spins off blockchain-based Car eWallet
ZF has founded a startup that incorporates their Car eWallet business. They will offer payment and billing services for transactions such as charging or renting electric cars using blockchain technology. The launch of Car eWallet in Berlin follows a trial with project partners IBM and UBS.

Mega-E opens first high power charging site in Europe
The first liquid-cooled chargers delivering up to 350 kW have gone live today in the Dutch town of Eindhoven. The high power charging site is part of the European Mega -E project. The initiative led by Allego aims for 322 ultra-fast chargers in at least ten metropolitan areas in Europe.

For the 80th anniversary of the Wolfsburg company, CEO Herbert Diess decided to donate 12 mobile charging stations to the city of Wolfsburg. The stations are grid independent and offer green energy, charging at capacities up to 200kWh.

Sweden: InCharge by Vattenfall at Renault & Volvo
Vattenfall is expanding its electric car charging network InCharge in its home country. A new deal with Volvo and Renault includes the installation of 300 charging stations at dealerships next to Tanka pit stops in Sweden and Vattenfall says construction works have begun already.
