Geely to release two new electric buses
Geely is extending the product range of their commercial vehicle brand Yuan Cheng with the fuel cell bus F12 and the battery electric bus C11. The F12 is expected to offer a range of more than 500 kilometres.

Hyundai introduces its electric double-decker bus
More passengers with the same dimensions and emission-free: Hyundai has introduced its first electrically powered double-decker bus. NFI will expand e-bus offer with ADL
North America’s largest bus manufacturer, NFI Group, which also produces electric buses under the New Flyer brand, is taking over the Scottish bus manufacturer Alexander Dennis Limited for around 405 million US dollars. DHL Express & StreetScooter present fuel cell van
At GreenTech Festival in Berlin, DHL Express and the DHL/Deutsche Post subsidiary StreetScooter just announced their cooperation in developing the ‘H2 Panel Van’. The van will be the first standard 4.25-ton electric utility van powered by hydrogen fuel cell – enabling a range of up to 500 kilometres.

Sweden: Autonomous electric truck in operation
German logistics group DB Schenker is now using Einride’s fully electric autonomous T-Pod truck in Jönköping, Sweden, to transport goods on a public road. Swedish authorities recently gave their approval for the endeavour.

BYD presents XXL electric bus K12A
BYD has introduced what they are calling the longest electric bus in the world. The K12A is 27 metres long, seats 250 passengers, has a top speed of 70 km/h and a range of 300 kilometres. The XXL bus was primarily developed for the South American market, for example for large cities such as Bogotá.

DHL to build electric vans in Japan
Deutsche Post/ DHL’s EV building outlet StreetScooter is to sign a contract with Yamato, a major Japanese logistics company worth around 32 million euros. The two companies will develop a small electric van together and will bring the first 500 units into the greater Tokyo area by autumn.

Electric retrofit available for Mercedes-Benz Vario
The standard conversion of the Mercedes-Benz Vario into an electric truck by the Lower Bavarian special vehicle manufacturer Paul Nutzfahrzeuge, announced at the beginning of 2018, will start in Vilshofen in the second quarter of this year. The first model will be presented in Munich in April.
