Tesla raises Model 3 charge capacity to 200 kW

Since last weekend, Tesla has been installing a new firmware update for Model 3 already delivered in Europe. This means that charging capacities of up to 200 kW are now also possible with third-party suppliers – at least at a few locations.

Recalls for the Audi e-tron and Jaguar I-Pace

Due to the danger of battery fire and potentially faulty software in the regenerative braking system, the Audi e-tron and Jaguar I-Pace are being recalled to workshops in the USA and Europe as well. Audi confirmed that all vehicles that have been delivered so far are affected.

Audi revises e-tron production targets downwards

Audi has reduced the e-tron production target for this year at its Brussels plant by more than 10,000 units to 45,242 units, due to supply issues. Also, production of Audi’s second electric model, the e-tron Sportback, is to be postponed until 2020.

Battery bottleneck threatens Audi e-tron production

Audi is reportedly having problems with the battery supply from the supplier LG Chem for their electric e-tron. Audi is therefore currently only able to produce about half of the originally announced 300 e-tron units per day at its plant in Brussels.
