StreetScooter Work van approved for large-scale production
The electric van maker owned by DP/DHL has received the EC approval to serially produce its basic Work electric van. The approval for large series production also applies to other EU countries and to Switzerland and Norway so that StreetScooter may fulfil more orders coming from third parties.
Audi suspected of cheating emissions tests with PHEVs
The Munich state prosecutor suspects Audi may have also cheated emissions tests with their plug-in hybrids. During testing, the prosecutor believes, that Audi may have placed additional strain on the batteries in order to take pressure off the combustion components, and giving a fake impression of CO2 emissions.
Daimler diesel recall including hybrid vehicles
Following their investigation into forged exhaust emissions at Daimler, Germany’s Federal Motor Transport Authority KBA obliges Daimler to recall 700,000 vehicles. Now these also include hybrid models from Mercedes-Benz – namely the C 300 h and the S 300 h.
StreetScooter components test positive for Cadmium
After the German ministry for vehicles (KBA) followed the suspicion that there may be extensive heavy metal contamination among EV components used in the Volkswagen brands VW, Audi and Porsche, affected components have now been found in the German Post’s StreetScooter.
