Avatr & BP to install ultra-high-power charging in China
Avatr, the Chinese EV maker backed by Changan, CATL and Huawei, has announced a new partnership with British Petroleum (BP). They want to build out ultra-rapid charging infrastructure in China and aim for 240 kW of power delivered per plug.

Hyundai Europe launches special Ionity tariffs
In Europe, Hyundai has released new packages offering preferential tariffs for the Ionity network in which the company holds a stake. Two Ionity packages, Premium and Lite, offer better charging rates. At the same time, drivers opting for the new Ioniq 5 receive up to two years Ionity Premium for free.

Audi High Power Charging Hub now live in Nuremberg
Audi has inaugurated its first charging hub at the exhibition centre in Nuremberg, Germany. The carmaker’s concept relies on battery buffers to deliver ultra-rapid charging using a standard low-voltage connection and also offers an extended lounge area.

UK: Gridserve accelerates ultra-rapid charging network
Gridserve is building its ultra-rapid charging hubs in the UK, following plans announced last summer. There are already eleven charging parks under construction, each with six to twelve high power charging points, according to Gridserve. The company expects to finish 20 so-called Electric Hubs by Q2 2022.

NSW to install 1,000 high power charging bays by 2027
The government of New South Wales, Australia, has released details for its electric vehicle charging masterplan, which aims to install 1,000 ultra-fast charging bays along major routes. The plan for the rollout of 350-kW chargers promises the biggest EV charging network of any state or territory in Australia.

MFG selects Swarco as key partner for rapid-charger roll-out
The British petrol station operator Motor Fuel Group (MFG) has named Swarco a key partner in its roll-out of charging stations at sites across the UK. The deal sees Swarco supply 150 Ultra Rapid EV chargers and electrifying 28 sites by the end of 2021.

First charging hub for cabs in Copenhagen by E.On & Dantaxi
Danish taxi service Dantaxi and energy supplier E.On opened a large charging hub in Copenhagen called Danhub. The site is supposed to supply up to 400 electric cabs a day and is considered crucial in converting the capital’s taxi fleet to electric by 2025.

ChargeFox reveals Australian charging network
