Seat has published the price for the Mii electric for Germany. The small electric car of the Spanish Volkswagen subsidiary will be available at a basic list price of 20,650 euros and is, therefore, cheaper than the sister models of the Škoda and VW brands.

For comparison: For the Škoda Citigo e iV, customers will have to shell out 20,950 Euro, and for the VW e-Up 21,975 Euro. All three compact electric cars share the same technology basis, so the Seat Mii also has an output of 61 kW. The Spaniards state the range with 260 km, the sprint to 50 km/h should succeed in 3.9 seconds. According to Seat, the charging time to 80 per cent is 60 minutes, and the power consumption is 12.9 kWh per 100 km.

So much for the technical data. The electric Mii will be available from the middle of this month. After deducting the state environmental bonus and the manufacturer’s share, the electricity costs in Germany from 16,300 euros. Alternatively, the model can also be financed from 145 euros per month as part of 36-month leasing.

Seat is planning the market launch for next year in a total of 14 countries: Besides Germany, these are Spain, Italy, France, Great Britain, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Poland. Seat also offers a wall box, described as “intelligent solution for charging at home” with expert installation included.

Meanwhile at the IAA, Seat is presenting the Tarraco FR PHEV – the brand’s first plug-in hybrid – alongside the Mii electric. Also in the limelight: the MEB battery-electric vehicle el-Born, the sister model to the VW ID.3, which was presented in spring, and the all-electric concept car Cupra Tavascan, a touring car developed under the roof of Seat’s motorsport subsidiary.

According to Axel Andorff, Seat’s Chief Research and Development Officer, Seat’s flagship plug-in hybrid illustrates its strategy for more sustainable mobility while retaining “all the dynamism and driving fun that characterise any SEAT model and especially our FR models”. The Spaniards state 180 kW as the combined power for the SUV. According to the manufacturer, CO2 emissions are 43 grams per kilometre.
