Hyundai launches XCient fuel cell truck in Israel

Hyundai is bringing its hydrogen fuel cell truck Xcient to Israel, its first market in the Middle East. The vehicles will form part of a partnership between Hyundai agency Colmobil, hydrogen producer Bazan and refuelling station operator Sonol.

SoCal: Hyundai secures new funds for XCient fuel cell trucks

Hyundai and California’s South Coast Air Quality Management District have secured funding for another five fuel cell trucks and infrastructure. They applied for Targeted Airshed Grant (TAG) funding from the US Environmental Protection Agency EPA and were successful twice.

Hyundai launches XCIENT trucks to hit Europe via Germany

Hyundai announces the launch of the XCIENT fuel cell truck in Germany. Seven local logistics, manufacturing and retail companies will integrate 27 Hyundai hydrogen trucks into their fleets with funding through the German Federal Ministry for Digitalisation and Transport (BMDV).

California funds Hyundai XCIENT fuel cell truck projects

Hyundai is bringing its XCIENT fuel cell truck to the USA for the first time through two government-funded projects in California. The incoming 32 demo trucks are based on XCIENT Fuel Cell with technical modifications with Hyundai specifying a range of 500 miles (800 km).

Hyundai is updating the XCIENT fuel cell truck

Hyundai has revised the appearance and technology of its XCIENT fuel cell truck. Besides a design update for the front, the 2021 version of the XCIENT comes with a revised powertrain that now combines a 350 kW electric motor with two 90 kW fuel cell stacks.

Hyundai to supply 4,000 fuel cell trucks to China

Hyundai has signed two letters of intent with Chinese companies to supply a total of 4,000 fuel cell trucks to China by 2025. This is the second major order in connection with Hyundai’s H2 truck XCIENT, following the order for 1,600 units from Switzerland.

Hyundai hand over first of 1,600 H2 trucks in Switzerland

Hyundai has handed over the first seven units of its fuel cell truck XCIENT to customers in Switzerland. Hyundai plans to deliver a total of 50 such trucks to the Alpine nation this year. By 2025 a total of 1,600 of the H2 trucks will be allocated to the Swiss market.

Hyundai delivers the first H2 trucks in Switzerland

Hyundai has now delivered the first ten units of its fuel cell truck XCIENT to Switzerland. A further 40 are to follow this year, and a total of 1,600 of the H2 trucks are planned for the Swiss market by 2025. Hyundai is also working on an H2 tractor with a 1000-km range.

Faurecia has just received a major order from Hyundai for hydrogen storage systems for fuel cell vehicles. The French company will supply the entire system including 10,000 tanks for the 1,600 H2 trucks that Hyundai plans to launch on the Swiss market.
