Aiways receives production license in China
The Chinese electric car startup Aiways has secured a production license in China: Aiways acquires a billion yuan stake in Jiangling Motors Holding, the joint venture previously held 50 per cent each by the Chinese vehicle manufacturers Jiangling Motors and Changan.
Aiways is planning to launch in Europe in 2020
The Chinese start-up Aiways is preparing its European market launch. Starting in April 2020, the all-electric SUV U5 will also be available in Europe. Before sales, the company is planning a 14,000 km drive to Europe to show off the U5.
Aiways to develop 25,000 euro e-SUV
The ambitious plans by the Sino-German EV startup Aiways are becoming more tangible. The first volume production model will be the electric SUV Aiways U5 Ion, which will hit the Chinese market in September 2019 and Germany starting in 2020.
Aiways: EV debut from Sino-German partnership
Aiways is another new EV startup from China ready to set up shop. The company also has a branch in Germany however, initiated by Roland Gumpert, who is their head of product and doubles as lead for their operations in Germany.
