MAN offers new bodies for the MAN eTGE
MAN Truck & Bus has announced that it is offering new bodies for the MAN eTGE in cooperation with body manufacturers. With immediate effect, it is also available with a box body and with a flatbed or three-way tipper.
Electric MAN to receive post stamp
The electric delivery van from MAN Truck & Bus has received a special honour in Austria: Austrian Post has immortalised the MAN eTGE on a stamp. The occasion was the anniversary of the 2,000th electric vehicle that Austrian Post put into service at the beginning of December.
DPD to decarbonise operations across Europe
DPD has just announced that by 2025 it will be using zero-emission and low-emission delivery vehicles in 225 of Europe’s largest cities. The parcel service includes electric vans as well as small electric vehicles and cargo bikes.
MAN begins preparing European workshops for EVs
MAN Truck & Bus is preparing its European workshops for handling electric vehicles. The manufacturer is planning to equip a total of 110 service branches with the corresponding skills and tools by the end of 2020. A further 60 workshops are to follow by the end of 2021.
VW moves e-Crafter production to Poland
After almost two years of cooperation with the Hanover plant, the Volkswagen plant at Września in Poland has now taken over the complete production of the e-Crafter electric delivery van. Alongside the MAN eTGE, the e-Crafter is the second electric model to be produced in Września.
DPD expands UK delivery fleet by 100 MAN eTGE
The parcel delivery company DPD has ordered 100 MAN eTGE electric transporters, thereby expanding its electric vehicle fleet in Great Britain to 600 vehicles. The contract was signed by MAN before the official UK launch of the right-hand-drive model at the end of April at the commercial vehicle fair in Birmingham.
MAN to show the eTGE electric minibus
For this year’s Busworld in Brussels, MAN has announced its first all-electric minibus, the eTGE Kombi. The commercial vehicle manufacturer will also be offering the all-electric 12-metre Lion’s City E bus for test drives at the fair.
Swiss Post buying more electric vans
MAN has delivered eleven units of their eTGE to Swiss Post, which is deploying the electric transporters in Berne, Geneva and St. Gallen. Swiss Post intends to use up to 400 electric-powered delivery vans for parcel delivery by 2023.
