Electric hydrofoil racing series to take off in 2023
After Formula E founder Alejandro Agag announced a new racing series with electrically powered racing boats last year, the creators of the E1 series have now presented the concept of an electric hydrofoil boat called “RaceBird”. The first races are to be held in early 2023.

Extreme E and AFC Energy push off-road charging
Formula E founder’s Alejandro Agag latest adventure, the Extreme E racing series for bespoke e-SUVs racing the world’s remotest corners, found a partner in Britain’s AFC Energy. Their off-grid fuel cell system for green power generation uses green hydrogen to create electricity.
Formula E launches tender for Gen3 cars
The FIA has published technical tenders on the third generation of Formula E racing cars. The Gen3 cars, which will be used from 2022 onwards, will offer more power with less weight and a new drive. Pit stops will return to the race, but this time, for charging.
HWA Racelab & ABT Sportsline to join Extreme E
As the second team in the racing series, HWA Racelab has announced that it is aiming to start in the Extreme E, the race series for all-electric SUVs starting in 2021. ABT Sportsline will also be competing in the electric SUV race.
Extreme E presents Odyssey 21 prototype
The prototype of the electric off-road vehicle for the planned new Extreme E racing series in the world’s most adverse climates has now been unveiled. Initially known as the E-SUV, the standardised racing car seems to have become a kind of electric off-road buggy.
Extreme E: Venturi confirms first racing team
Venturi Automobiles has now been officially confirmed as the first team for the planned off-road racing series with electric SUVs called Extreme E. Venturi has also been active in Formula E since the 2014/15 debut season and will now compete in the new racing series from 2021.
Formula E goes Extreme with e-SUVs
The organizers of the Formula E have announced a new brain-child: The Extreme E Electric World Challenge will take place in the most extreme climates of the planet with electric SUVs, visiting the Himalayas, the polar circle, the Amazon rain forest and a remote island in the Indian Ocean.
