Aiways has found a sales partner for Denmark
The Chinese electric car manufacturer Aiways has appointed a sales partner for Denmark. Andersen Motors will be responsible for service, advice and test drives at around ten locations in the country. It is the first such deal for Northern Europe.
Aiways drives expansion with U5 electric SUV
China’s Aiways is driving its European expansion as the company’s first electric SUV reaches new customers. The EV maker has named the Netherlands as next destination this November, following an earlier market launch in Germany and parts of France.
Aiways to send several hundred U5 to Corsica
Aiways is now supplying the car rental company Filippi Auto in Corsica with several hundred units of its battery-electric SUV U5 as part of the Electrify Corsica project. Filippi Auto is Aiways’ first major customer in Europe.

Before the market launch of the electric SUV U5, the Chinese manufacturer Aiways has published further details about the battery modules. These have a new sandwich structure, which according to the manufacturer should lead to greater stability and significantly reduce the risk of damage to the battery.
Aiways U5 available starting in April
The Chinese electric car start-up Aiways will be taking pre-orders from European customers for its fully-electric SUV U5 from the end of April. Aiways intends to announce the required down payment for the European advance sales markets later this month.
Aiways will skip dealerships in Europe
Aiways will offer its new battery electric SUV U5 in Europe exclusively through direct sales and not through traditional dealer networks. After sales and service will be handled by partners – the first ones for Europe have now been named.
Aiways receives production license in China
The Chinese electric car startup Aiways has secured a production license in China: Aiways acquires a billion yuan stake in Jiangling Motors Holding, the joint venture previously held 50 per cent each by the Chinese vehicle manufacturers Jiangling Motors and Changan.
Aiways is planning to launch in Europe in 2020
The Chinese start-up Aiways is preparing its European market launch. Starting in April 2020, the all-electric SUV U5 will also be available in Europe. Before sales, the company is planning a 14,000 km drive to Europe to show off the U5.
